Coconut Beach Club
Hotel Information: Restricted to guests aged 12 or older except from Dec. 19 through Jan. 7, Coconut Beach Club offers relaxation instead of activities. The only group activity is a guided nature walk through the resort's 15 hectares (37 acres), which include a bird-sanctuary lagoon.
Amenity highlights: Coconut Beach Club is arrayed along a sandy 350-m (383-yd) beach used primarily by resort guests. Hammocks sway from palm trees on a lawn by the shore. A small, kidney-shaped pool includes a wooden sundeck. Use of snorkeling gear, small sailboats, and two-person kayaks is complimentary to all guests.
Insider tip: Visitors and locals from all over Antigua gather Sunday afternoons at Shirley Heights overlooking English Harbour for an outdoor party highlighted by a panoramic view of the sunset. The resort offers shuttle service to the party, which is 24.25 km (15 mi) away, for a surcharge.

Coconut Beach Club offers 38 guestrooms and suites in a white, three-story building (no elevators). Patios and balconies, furnished with chairs and hammocks, provide close-up views of the Caribbean Sea.
Because the resort's intent is to provide fresh-air rest-and-relaxation holidays, rooms and suites do not have TVs, radios, or clocks. However, all have air conditioners and ceiling fans.
Amenities include direct-dial phones, refrigerators, safes, coffee/tea makers, hair dryers, and shower/tub combinations. Decor includes rattan furniture, tile floors, and brightly colored floral fabrics.
